An Idle mind is a devil’s workshop.

When we’re idle, many thoughts keep racing through our mind. It’s on us to decide what thoughts we want to entertain and the ones we should not.

The moment we entertain a negative thought it starts to spiral into imagination, that imagination further distorts our way of thinking and perceiving things and/or people. One negative thought from the devil can spoil your day and if you’re not quick to submit that thought to Christ, it forms a stronghold in your mind. (2 Corinthians 10: 4-6)

To break such negative thought patterns and strongholds we need to guard our hearts and mind in Christ, we need to keep renewing our mind by reading the Word of God. The more you spend time with God, the more convicted you will get by the Holy Spirit on what is the truth and what is the lie and deception from the devil.

The Word of God according to Philippians 4:7 says “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Meditate on this Word today.
